Matilda’s Cat

By: Emily Gravett

Matilda’s Cat

Summary: Illustrations and simple text show Matilda’s attempts to learn what her cat likes best, as well as the real answer.

Rating: 3 ***

It’s really difficult to read this story to a child because most of the text has a strikethrough so you read the text and then have to explain that it’s been redacted. It’s a cute idea, but the strikethroughs make it very difficult for children to understand.
