Hug Me

Ever feel like you need a hug, a really big hug from someone? That’s how Felipe the young cactus feels, but his family just isn’t the touchy-feely kind. Cactuses can be quite prickly sometimes you know . . . and so can Felipe. But he’ll be darned if this one pointy issue will hold him back, so one day Felipe sets off on his own to find a friend and just maybe, that long awaited hug.

Hiding

Hiding

Knowing that Mommy is upset, a young child hides under the table, behind the couch, and under the covers, just waiting to be found.

Rating: 5 *****

This book has wonderful cut outs to show the child’s perspective from within the hiding place and without, just wish the book were more sturdy as kids love to play with them and the book can easily become ripped and destroyed. A wonderful book which shows hiding from a child’s perspective. May be even more for the caregiver than the child.
